Romance has a fabulous record of throwing grey. She delivered a gorgeous light silver grey out of Aussie Rockford. She was rebred to our fawn male, Salvador Cloud, and threw a rose grey girl, who looks amazing! She has had a fabulous male silver cria out of Deacon Grey - Deacons Smoke Rise. She gave us Silver Dawn- who got blue at the Nationals, and she had a beautiful rose grey last year - Augustina who has gone to a great new home!!! And this year she had a stunning fawn female. Can't wait to see her in the ring!

Deacon Greys Smokerise is out of the famous Mile High Deacon Grey and our new girl La Buena Vida's Sweet Romance. We are extremely pleased with him. At his first show at Empire Extravaganza, he took a 2nd behind an A.L. Paca boy. Now that would normally be saying a lot - to come that close to one of Doug's boys, but truthfully there were only 2 in the class. However, the judge was Sharon Loner, and she said that Doug's deserved first because of his growth and fiber, but then she talked about Smokerise and couldn't stop talking about the promise that he showed and once he got his first shearing. (he hadn't been shorn even though he should have been shorn on the west coast in the spring). She went on about that this boy had full potential to be a huge herdsire. The coolest thing - was that we didnt' realise till after the show - that she was the breeder that made Deacon Grey!!!
