Rosehaven's Peruvian Silver Crown is a chip off the old block from Captain Nemo. He is a modern dark rose grey, that has a very even grey running through his fiber, zipper crimp. His handle is very soft. Jude Anderson who gave him his first blue, mentioned that he had the most even color and fleece she had seen in a solid rose grey. Silver Crown's first cria was born at Rosehaven Farm Sept 2012 - fawn female, "Silver Filigree," with gray points and bright, beautiful fleece! Silver Crown sired his 2nd cria at our farm: a beautiful Classic Rose Gray female, "Windy's Catherine." We thought Snowberry was as white as snow until a fiber person, who was skirting her fleece, told me that her back was a very, very light silver. This would make sense since her dam is a silver grey and her sire a light fawn. She has a slight touch of blue in her eyes, so we have only been breeding her to dark colors. No problem there, we have some solid beauties, that's for sure! We also decided to keep the family "berry" name going from Teaberry and her dam Hollyberry. Her sire is Brookhollow's Alonzo.
