Sire: Pronker's Rio Grande ARI#
30894525 White Rio is a son of Rewind, of the renowned Tillman Suri herd. Rewind “is demonstrably the brightest white suri in America” according to Andy Tillman in his Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) research. Rio’s 3.5 year histogram showed 22.1AFD, 4.2SD, and 18.8 CV! Rio had an excellent show career earning Reserve Champion in 2009 as a Juvenile. We're very impressed with the fact that he again won a Reserve Champion banner as a 3-1/2 year old in his third fleece!
UPDATE 2014: Check out the new photos of Rio's SONS! Each of them are an outstanding example of what we are breeding for! Both Dallas and Lambeau hit the show ring this spring and did their daddy proud. Dallas placed 1st at Mapaca as a Beige. Lambeau was in a tough class of 15 whites, at just 6 months old. Very stiff competition, but he managed to make the cut and slipped in at 6th place. After a couple of weeks off, they headed to PAOBA, where Dallas came through with a 1st place and Reserve Champion! Lambeau upped his game in another large white class bringing home 2nd place. Fall of 2014 brought Rio's 3 sons to the Vaoba show, where Dallas garnered another 1st place (no Championship classes), Lambeau brought home 2nd place and Lodi got a blue in his first showing!
UPDATE 2015: Spring shows brought some great results for the Rio boys! 2 1sts and a 2nd at the CABO show where the boys combined efforts to bring home 1st in the Get of Sire class! At 2015 Mapaca Jubilee, Dallas was Color Champion, Lambeau was Reserve Color Champion and as group they placed 2nd in the Get class! We were especially excited about these Mapaca wins - as the largest 2015 show in the country, the competition was exceptional with the best breeders in the country showing their highest quality offspring! The boys finished the season at Paoba, where Dallas took another Color Championship, Lambeau took 2nd and another 1st place Get of Sire win!!
UPDATE 2015: AOA Fleece Show results included a FIRST PLACE GET OF SIRE
Dam: PLA Dixie Sioux ARI#
31376440 Beige UPDATE 2016: As part of our foundation herd, Dixie is not for sale, however she is due in May with her next cria - another Rio Grande offspring! Watch for updates, as we expect her next baby to be just as nice as Dallas! Dallas competed in the 2016 Carolina show, finishing with a First Place and Reserve Chamionship as a Mature Male! Dallas is a 4 time banner winner and has been sold to Hasselbring's Harmony Ranch. We will be delivering him to Britt and Patty at the AOA Nationals! If you happen to be there - find him at our Prairie Lake stalls and check out the quality of this 4 time banner winner!
UPDATE 2015: Son Dallas finishes his stellar show career with a total of 6 1st's, 2 Championships, and 1 R. Championship. We were most excited to have him win the Championship at the 2015 Mapaca Jubilee as it was the largest show in the country in 2015 with exceptional competition from some of the largest and best breeders in the country! (He participated in 6 shows - only 3 shows had enough entries for a Championship).
UPDATE 2014: Son Dallas took 1st Place in the 2014 Mapaca Light Male Class at just 6 months old and 1st and Reserve Champion at 2014 PAOBA!
UPDATE 2013: Dixie gave birth to a beige male in September 2013! The first offspring of Rio Grande, little Dallas is everything we hoped for. High luster, great coverage and bearded head, we look forward to showing him in the spring.
Update 2012: Dixie gave birth to a healthy white male cria in May 2012! He has great conformation, and carries his father's density and famous luster! He should be a nice showstring prospect. (Sold)
Dixie is a beautiful beige girl just dripping in luster! Out of our best producer, Just Another Note, this is one to watch in the showring. Already she has placed 1st in first show at the Indiana Alpaca Invitational. Dixie carries well known Accoyo lines of Bruxo, Santiago and Ace.
We are breeding Dixie to our Crown Royale son, Camelot, for a spring 2012 cria
Description
Dallas earned his 4th Banner as Reserve Champion Light Male at the 2016 Carolina Alpaca Celebration! He accomplished this as a Mature Male competing against some of the most beautiful, best known blood-lines in the country showing in Yearling Full Fleece!
Dallas exhibits very high luster in a wave and twist lock style. Each judge highlighted his superior uniformity of micron - a signature trait of his sire Rio Grande! Rio won the Get of Sire class in the AOA Fleece show proving he is passing on all of his wonderful attributes! Dallas was a shown offspring in several Get of Sire classes helping to earn his dad 3 1sts and a 2nd in this very important class!
Beginning his breeding career in 2016, Dallas stayed on the farm while his fleece traveled to the Suri Network All-Suri Fleece Show. He won top honor with a 1st place and Color Championship in lights, his fifth Color Championship!
In 2017 Dallas participated in the Suri Herd Improvement Program, and received top scores in the classification. Conformationally, he received the highest scores possible. In fleece scores, wow! Luster, fineness, uniformity, density, lock structure, handle, all well above the national average. Fleece phenotype? The best!
